There has been a lot of sore feelings on this topic in my family. There are experts on the topic and if you have any assets at all, you should consult a legal expert who specializes in this kind of thing. Tell them what your intent is and then ask for several courses of action and the pro and cons of each. If you don't, you run the risk of creating problems you can't imagine when you're gone. Not to mention, you might want to ensure that your wishes are carried out, not someone else's. Just saying...
Spend it all!
I clicked YDI, cause if you haven't managed to teach your kids the manners to behave at a funeral of all places and to value possessions above the death of their grandmother, then you deserve to have them show you up.
Just because parents teach their kids things doesn't mean they'll actually do that. I've been taught to be thankful for the stuff I have but, sadly, I'm a bit materialistic. I'm sure you turned out exactly like your parents wanted.
So glad im an only child :)
One gets bugger, the other gets all.
In hindsight I could have worded that more clearly. One gets jack, the other gets shit.
If I was their mother I don't even know how I'd handle that situation! I know I'd be pissed, at least. Sorry to hear of this, OP.

They get nothing.
I think someone needs to go to military school for the next couple years. ;)
