at my school, if they see ur cell, they will confiscate it for 30 days, or u have to pay a fine for it... i think its a 20 dollar fine. But ur parents have to pay for it and/or pick it up. Then if they see it again, they take it for 60 days and the whole shibang. (Sp?) Finally, if they see it a third time, they keep it for the entire school yr and u cant pay for it. They wont tell u when its time to get ur phone, either. You have to figure it out. Many people were mad because they are basically stealing ur phone and making u pay for it!
i wouldnt have given them my phone or showed up for the detention what the hell...my mom would have been right at the school raising hell cuz of that...you got stuck in there elevator maybe they should worry bout fixing it instead of giving out detentions....
@86 you are an idiot.. most schools worldwide ban phones.. mine does
my school has like 3 or 4 elevators. no escalators though.. I'd like that. it would make the hallway traffic better.. and we are no were near rich. we have block scheduling because they can afford books for everyone. then build a new football field for 2 mil.. but that's extremely retarded. if you accepted that 'punishment' and didn't complain about it you deserve it.
wtf!!
Why were you in an elevator at school in the first place?

Have the schools head on a platter for unreasonable treatment. This was an emergency situation in which you had no other choice. You were not disrupting a class or using it for conversation. Maybe you could have pushed the emergency call button in the elevator, but that's no excuse for the school's actions.
Doesn't elevators come with emergency ring and intercom?
