Today, at the awards ceremony at my school, I ended up winning the top achievement award in my grade. The principal spent at least ten minutes talking about my success to the audience, the whole time referring to me as a "he" as I stood right next to him. I'm a girl. FML

That happened to a kid at my school,we had a sub and he(his name is coby) looks a little girlish.the sub called him up to read something and said this young lady is going to read to us...let's just say that coby got suspended that morning

There is always the option that your principal is not a native speaker. I often notice this with my working colleagues. In their mother tongue there is no gender so each time they switch to a language where there is gender stuff they start mixing it up. My boss manages to call his own daughter "he" and since he diapers her I am pretty sure he knows she is a girl.
