Today, at work, a lady approached me asking if I'd found a used cloth diaper on a table, and I told her it was probably in the trash. She said "That's okay, I can wash it." So I searched through several bags of trash, and when I couldn't find it, she said "Oh never mind! It's in my bag." FML

Ew I would have told her to just get a new one.

Look on the bright side -- you didn't end up finding a used cloth diaper when you were looking through a bunch of trash.

You can and should have denied her. Human excrement is considered hazardous materials and therefore not on your pay grade. If your boss made you do it, then you would own whatever company you work for now. Seriously, there are some things you just gotta say no to the customer about, even in retail.

Sometimes less is more. "No, I haven't seen it" Don't make a follow-up statement that will create more work for yourself.

good advice for any job that involves customer service.

I think someone was messing with you

Why did YOU search through the trash for a DIRTY diaper for SOMEONE ELSE?!?!?

Why would you do that? U shouldve said the garbage was already taken out.

We use cloth diapers. Some are $5-6 dollars a diaper but some are $20. I would search through a garbage can for $20!
