Today, at work, I fell asleep. This is how I discovered that when I'm sleeping, and am scared awake by my boss with an air horn, I yelp louder than a terrier and piss my pants. FML

first of all why did your boss have an air horn at work? next tyme actually stay awake

"scared awake by my boss with an air horn.." who else has 'scared you awake'?!?!? YDI Grow up. Get the rest you need at home to earn all your pay. Caffine and energy drinks are avilable EVERYWHERE these days!!! FML says 'please try and be respectful', you don't merit my respect. Probably wrote this FML at work too. What a douche. Get to work!!

Your boss blasted an airhorn to wake you up? Dude, your boss is awesome! The fact that you screamed and wet yourself makes it even funnier!

Depending on WHY I fell asleep, I would react violently. Being done that, at least to me, is inciting me to kick (or try) your ass. Something I hate is loud noises without my consent near my ear.

Why would you try someone's ass? Why is that a viable alternative to kicking it? What does it even mean, to try someone's ass? Does it mean what I think it means? P.S. I'd kick your ass for sleeping while I was paying you.

Ha, nice one. Meant I would kick o try to kick your ass, since I am not a good fighter. I would try anyway. And as I said, depending on circumstances. You don't know why he was tired, maybe he had a terrible night and had to spend all night in the hospital with his sick brother... Employers should warn their employees if they are caught sleeping, or not working during working hours. They should do it in a proper manner. Not being an asshole. I wouldn't stand being bullied by my employer.

What are you, 12? There are no circumstances that excuse sleeping at work. If you're up all night in the hospital with a sick relative, call in the next day....don't go in and catch up your sleep on your employer's time.

19. I would do that, call them. They wouldn't mind and have me go there anyway. I'd get tired for them being fuckasses, sleep, get awaken in a horrible way, then directly fired for assaulting my employer, go home and sleep. I'm not supporting sleeping during work time, but it happens, and you can't always know why. Out of 10.000, 1 may have a really good one (and valid) explanation. I'm saying that being woken like that, either if the employer was right or wrong in doing so, is ******. There are different ways of doing it nicely. Or you just can see it in a different way. If you wake him up nicely, he most probably keep the rest of the day doing work at a good efficiency percentage. If you wake him up badly, he will most likely be in a bad mood for the rest of the day, decreasing his day productivity (at least for that day).

As an employer, if I see an employee sleeping on the job, I really don't care why. There is no good reason. You're fired, I don't want to hear your grunted half-English explanation. Get out of my building, get off my payroll, and preferably out of town. So yeah, I'd wake you up with an air horn, then fire your ass, and there wouldn't be a damn thing you could do about it :) That's what you can't seem to get through your thick, greasy skull. No good reason for sleep on the job. NO TENGO RAZON PARA DORMIR CON TRABAJO AMIGO!!! ¿comprendé?

People get their life ****** at least once in their life. Should that happen at workspace, you, being the supervisor, could actually try and understand WHY happened what happened. If at one point in my life this situation presents, and I am the one to wake up the employee, I will not do it with an airhorn. Should you injure the ear of your co-worker, your life is the one that will become fkd. If am the one who is waken up, I will hurt the one who did it. Sure, will get fired. Don't care. And I don't care if you sue me. I would make your life miserable afterwards. Fortunately there are quite a few ways to get revenge without breaking any laws. There is no reason to be disrespectful. It seems it's your greasy skull that doesn't let you think clearly. I'm not defending sleeping at work. I'm criticizing the way you wake up the guy. And your inexistent effort to try and understand why it happened. If he was partying all night or has another job that prevents him from having the expected performance over here, he should get fired, or properly warned.

A business owner doesn't have time to care why an employee is sleeping on the job. You've obviously never been in that position, or you'd understand. And you obviously never will be in that position. Have fun working at McD's the rest of your life. And clearly most people agree, since the YDI's outnumber the FYL's more than 5:1...Good day to you.

Bleh, wake up your employees that way. You will hurt someone, and will have to pay for it. I won't continue this argument because clearly you are not understanding what I am saying.

Actually, I've heard this is standard procedure in dealing with sleepy air traffic controllers.

and terriers aren't nearly as loud as coon hounds.

Lol I almost pissed MY pants from laughing at this. Instead I farted. Way to go slacker, YDI.

I would feel sorry for my boss if she ever did that to me, given the fact she would get that air horn shoved up her ass.

I like your boss! :D it could be a lot worse, they could've fired you for falling asleep at work. But they didn't.. and they woke you up with an air horn. Your boss wins at life.
