that's happened to me before. cept instead of whining to some 'new girl' about it, i knew that i was in the wrong and just didn't let it happen to me again. YDI
I still don't get what everyone's problem with "proceed" is?
Because it is completely unnnecesary.
It annoys some people because it often seems that the person posting is a brainless sheep who decided to use the word to sound more intelligent, rather than because it fits the context of the statement. Though, I'm sure some people who are jumping on the anti-proceeded bandwagon don’t actually know how to use the word properly either. Most people are sheep. Some are nice, some are not, but they're still sheep.
or....the person is smart? however...I don't understand why using proceed is a show of intelligence. it's an every day word. Maybe the people who think that need a dictionary.
YDI for texting at work and thinking you can bitch to your new co-worker. Even if she wasn't your managers daughter, it makes you look like a bad and lazy worker. What are you? Sixteen? #15/ PTERONOPHOBIA - A few pages of FMLs back, everyone used 'proceeded' in their FML, and a bunch of people got pissed. Plus, it's been used incorrectly. A lot.
you better hope she doesn't have a great relationship with her mom.
Let me translate this anecdote. "My boss yelled at me for breaking the company's rules so out of my angsty childish nature I decided to talk shit about her for enforcing company rules, but the innocent employee I was bitching to was the boss's daughter. Like omigosh FML!!!!1!!"
You're a moron.
hey, how could she know she was supposed to do actual work at....... um, work?

Moral of the story: be careful who you talk to. Or, better yet, trust nobody. Still, YDI. People who text all day under their desks instead of actually doing their job seriously irk me.
Boo you *****!
