Today, at work, this lady comes up to the counter and asks me for some napkins. She came up to the counter 5 times, when my boss told me to find out what happened to her. Her daughter had puked all over the table and floor, she had covered it with napkins and then left. I had to clean it up. FML

guys I wrote this FML... to clear some things up... I was working at a fast food restaurant, not a real restaurant(not fancy and all that). So I was behind the counter and couldn't go out to look at what had happened to the dumb moron that kept asking for napkins. Then my boss came out and told me to go and check, when i went to the table, that lady saw me, took her kid, and RAN theough the door. Then I told my boss what had happened and he told me to go and clean it. SAdly, I couldnt find that moron that did that, but if i ever see her, shes gonna get it! #103-104: jeje :D

I clicked YDi solely because after the third trip up to the counter for napkins you should of either asked if everything was okay or followed her to make sure she wasn't stealing stuff and wrapping it in the napkins *people are weird like that*. Though I admit it does suck that the woman didn't even attempt to clean a little of it up before leaving.

Um, 18, people don't usually just 'volunteer' for jobs :/ Call me crazy, but if you're doing this sort of work it's because you need money, despite shitty hours and pay. Aside from that, that woman was highly disrespectful. Her house must be a ******* pig-sty if she thinks slapping some napkins down on a mess will make it magically go away. Lazy bitch.

# 21- LSeb Clearly you don't have kids and I hope you don't. What is wrong with a family going out to dinner together? A couple should not have to get a babysitter everytime they want to go out to dinner. A message to parents is to control their damn kids and take responsibility for their actions. Are there restaurants or places in general little kids should not be brought to, sure, but there is a such thing as a family restaurant you idiot! To the OP, it is a little strange that you didn't inquire as to why she needed that many napkins, but it was still her responsibility to at least tell you what had happened. If my child did that, I would be embarassed but not only would I tell someone what happened, I would at least help to actually clean it up, not just try to cover it up and leave.......

Im with #9 on this one, why would you not go to see what was going on? If I was a customer at a table near where this happened I would have walked out purely from the perspective that as a waiter its your responsibility to wait on people and clean up after them. Someone shouldn't have to keep coming over to do what is effectively your job and you should have used the initiative to go & see if everything is ok.
