Today, during my uncle's funeral, my four year old loudly asked, "Where's all the dead people?" FML

"Not here honey. Just wait for the zombie apocalypse"

You can't expect a four year old to know exactly what to say or do. My nephew has embarrassed me many times :/ Sorry about your loss OP

DON'T TAKE YOUR KIDS TO A FUCKINF FUNERAL! Your baby is all of 4 years old and talking like that in a room of mourners? What the hell is wrong with you?!

First of all, a 4-year-old is not a baby. Secondly, children, no matter how young, have the right to the closure that a funeral can provide after the death of a loved one. Thirdly, sometimes children unwittingly say inappropriate things in public; that's just a part of having kids. You can't just refuse to take them anywhere where there's a chance they might say or do the wrong thing--otherwise how would they learn what to do and not do in public?

I can understand why this is considered a FML, but at the same time, that means your kid is curious about things and have no problem asking others about them. You can look at it as a process of learning more about life and the world. But either way, I am sorry for your loss.

Kids will be kids. It's something to look back at one day.

Young children, curious and all. Cant blame the kid. Sucks for you in that situation

That's just like the episode of two and a half men where Grandma's ex lover dies and Jake asks that at the funeral, the difference being Jake is older than four
