as a sous chef. I can tell you culinary school is only slightly useful. It does not teach you how to run a kitchen, demands of a rush, the physically and mentally draining demands. It just teaches you how to cook food once. I know very few chefs with degrees. And they went to France to learn... so your f*cked your.... I mean good luck friend
Experience is key in a kitchen. Sincerely a chef of 10 years. Good luck on your culinary journey.
I hate to say I agree. You need experience dealing with shitty people. Nobody cares that you can chop an onion in 7 seconds and it holds literally no merit in a fast food environment. Apply to an actual restaurant
Your FML should be that you’re transparent and full of shit
Apply to a proper restaurant as a Kitchen Porter or Prepper. You need to get the feel of what it is actually like working in a restaurant before anyone will consider putting you on the line.
If you're aspiring to work at a fast food restaurant why bother going to culinary school?

Maybe aim higher, somewhere where culinary training is actually worth more than cheap labor?
You’re lying. I know for a fact that at least Chipotle hires people with zero experience. The real reason they didn’t hire you is they saw you went to culinary school and thought you were applying as a sick prank.
