Even if the price wasn't part of the item's name, it's annoying when people get to the register and ask how much something is. ALL prices are listed right on the menu. You can probably figure out how much it costs easier than the cashier can. Just look up.
The problem is that most people actually want to know what the price is with tax because different places have different tax brackets. So a 99 cent chicken nugget that comes out to $1.04 in one town comes out to $1.12 in another. It makes a difference. People are just prone to asking the wrong question for the information they want.
This is not a FML. Just an honest mistake
They're $1.06 where I am because of sales tax.
don't feel bad!! sounds a lot like me...i make mistakes like that all the time! nice to know Its not just me:P
Or it could be $.66 to a dyslexic. My child has problems with mixing up his 6 and 9.
Lmao... It's okay Op, we all make mistakes.
**** your life for sure if you're really worried about a fast food service person laughing at you.. Too funny
Because people who work at fast food places aren't really people. Damn plebeians.
If the latest Men In Black has taught me anything is that "people" in restaurants are actually aliens.
Technically you aren't paying what is listed, it may be 99cents but with the tax added on top; it is no longer that price. Well you made that person's day in their repetitive job OP!

Obviously you were asking about the tax as well....right?
That's like asking someone what the number to 911 is..
