Today, I accidentally left my textbook at home. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but today was my class final. Since it was an open-book final, I'd decided not to study for it. I'm pretty sure I failed. FML

Wow, that's kind of ballsy. I always study for open book tests and put little sticky notes in the most important parts for quick reference.

Your still supposed to study for open book tests otherwise you usually don't complete it on time because your busy looking things up.

You would have failed anyway. Open book exams are always harder than closed book.

Open books always seem to be the hardest, because everything is right there, thus making it "inexcusable" to fail. You always seem to get asked questions about the tiniest details that really don't matter.

In what world is an open book test a legitimate type of test?

Um. open book tests require you to have read the book and know where evertything in the book is....

I'm sorry, but there's only one thing I can say: DUMBASS!!! If you have to make notes so you don't forget that you have a final where you NEED to have your textbook, then do it. (Conversely, you could/should also study for it, even if that means just skimming over the chapters.) That what Post-Its are for...

Even if a test is open notes you should still study and know where to find the answers.

Idk if it's just me, but in my country.. We never have open book tests, much less during finals.
