How in the hell are you going to ask for 3 weeks vacation? But who am I to judge, they gave you more then 3 weeks. Lucky

In America most people get 2 to 3 weeks worth of vacation too....but only an idiot would take it ALL at once. I bet his aunt and uncle run a small business and its irresponsible to think that a business, small or big, could run 3 weeks without you. If they can afford to run 3 weeks without you then they probably can just as easily afford to not have you work for them at all.

Hi all, This is my FML, I know it's been a long time but my account never got validated and I kept forgetting. Also I am from Australia, not Romania. Anyway, it all worked out - they had had a bad day and another important employee had quit. They took it back straight away and we talked about it and came to an agreement. (Yes July is a busy time for us) I ended up taking my time off in October, my partner and I travelled to America to get married, etc (the reason we wanted to go in July was to go to San Diego comic con also) and my aunt and uncle gave me a pay rise. I guess they freaked out over nearly losing another important employee at busy times. Thanks for all your support!
