Good job by you for asking questions. The only dumb question is the one that isn't asked.
GTS, google that shit! Is that answer also acceptable for the medical field? Everyone uses webmd and believes they have a terminal illness anyway.
I'm hearing so many stories about bad college teachers! Mine are so nice/helpful o_o I would suggest telling her your paying $1000+ dollars for school, and you damn right expect her to help you! Or if you're shy, report her~ :p
My engineering teacher did that to me too.
Go to the dean. It's her job to help you. In my Chem pre-lab though we were told to do the same thing. Its because we aren't really learning about it until we get there and it's just an opportunity for us to be somewhat familiar with it. I guess "reading over the textbooks" is a thing of the past! Good luck!

If everyone Googled everything, no one would need to pay your teacher's salary.
If you're in college you're paying to be taught, not paying to google everything instead. Go above her and make a complaint and see if she still doesn't feel like doing her job.
