And why not?
Exactly, maybe for a fiance or wife, but not girlfriend.
ikr! really...
get the receipt of the necklace, get back necklace, tell her what it's worth, dump the bitch and **** her best friend. In that order
Dump that bitch
Next time just give her a pearl necklace. Much better for you.
haha, yes
Get rid of her. But first, make her reimburse you.
You've been PWND! Or you necklace has, at least. You need to marry this girl straight away! From now on, every occasion you have with her, give her a $10 bill (note) in a card and that's it. You are done giving her expensive gifts from this day forward. If you marry someone responsible, you're not going to have such a good excuse for not going broke getting them expensive gifts. In the long run, this is a cheap lesson! ;)

So go to the pawn shop, get it back & give it to someone who cares enough to keep it.
Run. My first wife pulled something like this just before she got pregnant (on purpose). I went into the marriage with no debt and money in the back and filed a joint bankrupcy for $200,000 about two years later. It is obvious she cannot handle her business and $1500 is a small price to pay to find this out.
