Today, I asked out my best friend via facebook graffiti. He then accidentally wrote his rejection as his status instead of on my wall. More people liked his status than the number of friends I have on facebook. FML

Today, I got an alert from Facebook that it was my very popular and attractive classmate's birthday. I decided to be sweet and write "Happy birthday" on her wall, only to notice it wasn't there a few minutes later. I rewrote it again and it disappeared. After three attempts, I took the hint. FML

Today, I changed my relationship status on Facebook from "in a relationship" to "single." I forgot to take my phone to work, and when I got back, I saw someone had replied, "What happened?" Someone else commented, "He broke his hand." My ex and a bunch of other "friends" liked it. FML

Today, on Facebook, I realized I had over 500 friends. I told my one friend and she changed her status to, "How can Dan have over 500 Facebook friends? Nobody even likes him." It got 42 likes and twenty comments that basically said, "Agreed." FML

So, not only did you use facebook to ask him out, OP, but you did not send him a private message, and instead asked him with some application for everyone on his profile to see? Secondly, you're saying he "accidentally" posted his rejection as his status; so.....you wanted him to publicly post it to your wall? But I guess that makes sense if you don't have many friends on there.. Since this is your "best friend" I'm hoping this is a joke between the two of you, OP, otherwise, I agree with 52..grow up.

you know... Asking a person out via facebook is just dumb... Infact, asking them out online at all is dumb. People usually say yes to a person if they have the guts to ask in person... And maybe your best friend doesn't want to ruin your friendship by going out with you... A girl coming out of a break-up can be pretty hateful (no offence ladies) if you know what I mean...
