Today, I bought an expensive razor that's supposed to be great. My roommate asked if she could borrow it, and as her legs just looked like they needed touching up, I said sure. After a strangely long amount of time, she came back, thanked me and left. Her legs were still hairy. FML

Today, I shaved my legs for the first time in three weeks. It took half an hour, three disposable razors, and I cut my legs up so badly they look worse then they did when they were hairy. FML

Today, whilst taking a shower, I noticed my razor wasn't in its usual spot. Upon inspecting it closer, I noticed that there were tiny white hairs in it. When confronting my father about it, he claimed the "pink razors" are his. We've been sharing the same razor this entire time. FML

Today, I shaved for the first time. My mum gave me a razor and I spent about 20 minutes trying to use it. I gave up, yelling, "FUCK IT!" and put it back on the shelf. It fell, and as it hit the floor, a lid fell off. I'd tried to shave with a sheathed razor for 20 minutes. FML

Today, while at my parent's house I decided to take a shower. I had to use my sister's bathroom and once out, grabbed a comb from her cupboard to brush my hair. I then noticed the clumps of hair on my shoulders. It's a razor comb on one side, regular on the other. I used the wrong side. FML

Hey guys, OP here. Yeah, it probably wasn't the best decision in hindsight... but she's my friend and roommate, and I know she's not "carrying anything" and would have boiled it afterwards. She had capri pants on and since her legs were visible, I assumed she just wanted to quickly neaten them up, and it sucks when you need them and you're all out. ...I don't think there's enough hot water in the world to make me want to use it again though.

45- It was a nice gesture to want to help out your roommate, Op. Honestly, I'd lend my razor to a friend or my brother, but my Quatro4 pops the replacable head off when it's done. I'd lend it and replace it right afterwards, just in case. I imagine if it was expensive, isn't yours swappable too? I can't imagine you lent her a barber shop straight razor, did you? :)

Unless you have seen the results of her bloodwork and STD check, you have no way of knowing what she does or does not have. It is not just dirty, gross strangers who are "carrying anything". Save yourself the risk and buy a new razor.

Don't ever lend your razor out to people. But now that you have, wash it out with some strong liquid detergent and use it after it's dried. Lending out razors is a recipe for fluid-transmitted diseases like AIDS. Be careful next time.
