Today, I was waiting in line while a lady paid for her shopping, when her credit card got declined. She started ranting and insulting everyone and kept insisting: "I'm not poor!" By the time the lady had finally stormed off, I had spittle on my face, and the cashier was almost in tears. FML

Not going to lie, its true for some people, but that would also be a matter of opinion. What might be ugly to him/her could be beautiful to someone else. You'll find someone if you haven't already so no worries.

I once had that happen to me. Although she was very loud about it. There was a cute guy behind me so I think she wanted to impress him. She said: "Why bother? You're so fugly nothing but surgery will help." That basically ruined my night. So I understand OP.
