Today, I broke my right leg. I've had one shot of morphine, and even that only relieved the pain a little. It's now totally worn off and I have yet to get pain medication of any kind. My leg has been broken for over nine hours now. FML

Today, I'm in hospital after having surgery for a broken leg. I’m maxed out on Endone and still in pain. Work have said that I’m on the roster next week and I’ll be fired if I’m not there. My wife said that she is going to have some "me time" for a few days when I get home from my "holiday". FML

Today, I fell down the stairs, breaking my foot and tendons. It was the first time I had ever broken anything, and the doctor said that it's the most complicated break he'd ever seen. It's too complicated to operate. Now I'm stuck in a wheelchair for god knows how long. FML

Today, I had my first real break from work in ages, so I decided to go hiking. Less than 20 minutes in, I tumbled a couple hundred feet down a steep hill, broke my leg and several toes, and lay there in agony for an eternity before I was finally rescued. FML

Today, the sciatic nerve in my left leg started twinging at random moments, leaving that leg painful and useless for a few seconds each time. Yesterday, I twisted my right knee and ankle falling over at work. Standing up is terrifying and I don't know which leg to limp on. FML

Today, I started my cure from my opioid addiction. My whole body is so sore, I'm lying in bed and I'm still hurting to the point that I cried half the day, and nothing will make me feel any better. FML

Today, I fell down the stairs and landed heavily on my foot. Because I wasn't crying, my mom refused to take me to the hospital. It took me an hour of agony to convince her. It turned out to be broken in three different places. FML

Today, after a long day at work, my legs were aching by the time I got home. Tired, I tried to go to bed early. Now the only thing preventing me from sleeping is the pain in my legs. It’s 4 a.m. now and no luck. FML

HA! one easter I broke 4 fingers in my hand, this happened Easter Saturday but my mom didnt want to sit in A&E on the bank holiday so made me wait until the Tuesday before we went to the hospital to actually find out I had broken 4 fingers.

I am in the 39th day post surgery for a broken left femur. It ain't fun, but keep in mind that you will recover. In several months it will be just a story. Good luck!

So ask for it.... pain mess in the orthopedic center are typically ordered PRN. Meaning as needed. You have to ask for them. I broke my leg 3 months ago. I called the nurse every 4 hours an told her I needed meds. If you don't ask for it you won't get it.

That happened to me. I broke my left leg dislocated my ankle and fractured my growth plate at the same time. And I couldn't have surgery till the next day cuz I had just eaten. At least u had morphine, I had ibuprofen. The next day my surgery was delayed another 2 hours. 17 hours, no meds.
