Today, I brought my boyfriend of 2 weeks home to meet my mom and she started talking about how she really wants a lot of grand-kids. He called 2 hours later and broke up with me. FML

Some parents really need to get it through their heads that their offspring are not required to push out babies of their own.

This sucks, but remember that family is forever, boyfriends are not.. Until you find the one that is worth marrying. If he got creeped out by something as stupid as that, he wasn't worth dating anyway. Try to keep your head high.

ok seriously be greatful that you two didn't last because he probably would have found some other lame excuse to walk away. In my opinion that was an excuse to walk so hun be glad he left before it got real serious.

This is the opinion of your mum, not OPs. So tbh your bf is a jerk for taking this out of context and you should be glad it's over now. Besides, if this all it took for him to dump you then I guess he's ******* some other chicken wing behind your back, am I right?

You were only together for two weeks. hardly qualifies as a boyfriend and I would never introduce anyone to my family that soon. so, basically, it's your own fault!

After all the things I have read on this site, I have to tell you, girl... your mom probably did it on purpose because "something didn't feel right about him". Either way, that sucked.

i would be your moms worst nightmare. had that happend to me i think i'd tell her about my wishes about somehow magically making my generation the last on earth.

Your mom just helped you get rid of an unnecessary emotional investment fast. I'd be thankful (:

Everyone knows you don't bring someone home to meet the parents unless it's a serious relationship. A dur
