"Routine Surgery" is a term used by the vet themselves, doesn't mean it's nothing. I'd glance over the paperwork you signed. btw, I'm sorry to hear it :( From VetTech: "It's only called "routine" because it's something that is done several times a day, day in and day out. Each vet has their own "routine" that they go through, for every ovariohysterectomy and orchiectomy, from the time they don their sterile gloves to the last stitch. But that's the only reason. They're not easy surgeries, they're not painless or predictable and death is always a possibility."
#7? really? how is it "not really FYL, more like FthevetsL"? yes, it's not good for the vet when an animal they are operating on dies, but how is it not an FML? you obviously are not an animal person and do not know what it is like to love an animal. when my dog died i was devastated. he was a big part of my life and my heart. and you can't just "Get a new dog". you have to feel ready to get another dog. it's not like "oh crap, I spilled ketchup on my shirt, i'll just go buy a new one"
if you had'nt said it, I would have. Thanks for your compassion. Hard to believe there are so many ignorant thoughtless people replying.
how do 56 people think you deserve this. Im so so sorry for your loss.
#2, a new puppy is hardly the answer, dogs are irreplaceable. I'm so sorry for you :( I'd die if my dog died during surgery like that :(
also, still don't get why people say "sue" every time. yes it's sad and it's bad but ACCIDENTS HAPPEN and people need to get over that. suing is not always the answer like most people today think it is.
awww im sorry, this is definitely a fml, unfortunately
From Vet's POV: "Today, like any other day, I was to preform a routine surgery. Remarkably few pets have ever been seriously affected (like an infection) or killed by this certain procedure, but one of my patients died in the middle of the surgery. I'm as scared as hell about being sued. FML"
WTF is the point of writing something like this? seriously just don't say anything if u got nothing to say
