Why would your coworkers think that? You couldn't have gotten your tan on Saturday and/or Sunday? They're either messing with you or they don't trust you because of earlier experiences...
Your co-workers are assholes.
bring in the funeral announcement / card then tell everyone to kiss your easily tanned ass. complain to HR about "harassment during your time of grief" too.
That sucks!!! You had a whole weekend, too, that you very easily could have spent @ the beach. Hope you stuck up for yourself though...let him know you'd be more than happy to show him the obituary or pamphlet from the funeral. One question though...if you tan that easily, wouldn't you already be really dark after a summer of sun? And regardless, you should be wearing sun screen if u go outside. A tan is just a different colour of skin damage than a burn.
This is when you show them the obituary or even the service brochure

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your boss's a douche bag.
You should have taken a cool "vacation" pic of yourself standing next to the casket.
