Today, I collided heads at a soccer game and needed 13 stitches in my head. I texted all my contacts to let them know I was in the hospital. I got back one response that said "bitch got what you deserve" it was from my cousin. No one else ever texted me back. FML

Aww, sorry about that. Well, at least you're on the way to recovering without any lasting effects from it.

thats stupid. using injuries to get sympathy it pathertic YDI.

Im going to say YDI on this one because you're probably a bitch to everyone

Maybe your cousin was right and you need to be a better person.

Texting is a stupid form of communication. Why not call them?

if you were able to take the time to text EVERYONE on your contacts list and explain to them what happened, you must have been ok. you probably just wanted attention... why would you tell EVERYONE? Why not just your close friends? usually people don't HAVE to tell everyone because usually their parents or friend will do that anyway... sounds like you just wanted attention

I think it's pretty safe to say you're the friend that nobody likes.

I gave you a YDI because stitches don't really count as "in the hospital" since you're in the ER and you go in, get the stitches and leave. If you were transported, you'd go in, get checked over, imaged, stitched, and let go. This sounds like a total "pity me" effort and thus deserving of a YDI. I'd never text EVERYONE on my contacts list even if I were in the hospital. Plus, I played and still play soccer; sports injuries like this are the kind you wear like a badge and let other people ask you about when you run into them, not something you brag about to everyone. "Oh my gosh, what happened?" "I had this wicked header in my game this weekend, smashed heads pretty hard, but I got the ball. It's no big deal." Also, if this is something you do regularly, your cousin may have been spot on.

like some people said here already, digging and begging for sympathy is just as bad as letting them find out on their own. It is really awkward. YDI.
