Today, I competed in a Tae Kwon Do competition. I came third with my team in the sparring event. My mum said as a joke, "Were there only 3 teams?" There were. FML

Next time organise a competition with only one team competing. Guaranteed first place, and with any luck your mother won't make the point of asking.

Out of three teams that composes of at least 6 people. i was i a tae kwon do competition as well op. dont feel bad. you still placed out of 6 or more so screw your mum

Moms can say the most hurtful things without realizing. It sounds like she was trying to make a joke and cheer you up. Just remember that the fact you even competed out weighs getting third.
