one would think the paparazzi would be made to leave the royal family alone after they killed princess Diana.
so... the birth of the person who'll eventually be the head of state of your country has no effect on your life? wish it was like that over here
They are the figurehead of state, they have no actual power in deciding anything.
you're awesome we have cameron to do all the actual leading, "yipee!"
Are you serious man? Don't you know they can take any piece of land in Britain as they please? At least, the queen could in "Jonny English"
Yep, same here & I'm in the US. I think it's great for Will & Kate & the whole family and all but.... Babies are born everyday. It isn't some sort f miracle thing that only happens once every 20 yrs in the whole world. Besides, last I knew the royals didn't have much control over the country.... Correct? So.... It's not the same as it was years and years ago when the royals actually had control. That would've been a big deal. I just hope the news doesn't yap on too much about it for too long (wishful thinking, I know). Again, it's great for the family but... The rest of us... Not so much.
There's a difference between Controlling a country and actually using that power.
You should try living in England.......I can't even put my tv on......I'm very close to pulling my tv cables out!
Some people have no respect these days... The royal family protected, safeguarded and steered the course of Britain for hundreds of years. The least you can show them today is respect. I am glad they are having a baby, it means the royal family will be that much bigger, and will carry on for that much longer. Let people rejoice in this great occasion. If you don't like it, fine, ignore it. But let those of us happy for such a great thing be happy. Coming from someone across the seas, God save the Queen.
correction :they did all of this before the twentieth century, now they are just a very well dressed black hole taking in a hefty chunk of our taxes to fund their new homes
Its not that we don't respect it, we just rather not hear about it every 5 minutes.
You know the Royal family makes Britain a hell of a lot more money then they actually take. There is a thing called tourism.
That "hefty chunk of taxes" is in exchange for Her Majesty's private income., which goes to the state. If she kept her own money, and paid income tax on it, the family would have more than they get from the civil list.
Oh grow up.
Oh grow up. The taxes you're referring to is paying job seekers allowance, and basically, is paying for chavs to stay at home, do drugs, drink and "raise" their bastard children. As stated by another person in previous comments, "the royal family brings in more money than they spend" it's completely true. You go to England on holiday, you end up going sight seeing. So just grow up. If you don't want to know about it, then just ignore it. At the end of the day, it's a life. It's a potential new king. It's a baby. You wouldn't say "it's getting boring" over your own family's new born, so have some ******* respect.
Respect? Really? We're not all English or British. If you want to talk about respect for other countries and their leaders, look up the history of what your country and it's leaders did in other countries.
This happens in every monarchy, with royal babies. And I had the same problem when my country got a new King last year
As a Potterhead I am fascinated by the fact that there really will be a Half-Blood Prince in existence. As a Whovian, I wonder if it will be born a Warewolf.
I think I just found my new best friend...
That was the most epic post I've probably ever read on here.
*werewolf
Just because she married royal does not mean it's in her blood. She is not by blood a royal and therefore her son is a Half-Blood. And fandom names are not generated by where they're located but rather the object of affection itself. The Harry Potter fandom is known as Potterheads, not Hogwartians. The Doctor Who fandom is know as Whovians, not the TARDIS Nation.
I would love to be your friend if you really are a Potterhead and/or Whovian.
Thanks and blame the phone. lolzzz
Tonight is a full moon!(:
Pretty sure Doctor Who was around before Dr. Seuss. And no, a half-blood is not a nasty sounding thing. Yes the Potterworld Half-Blood Prince was a surname but this is a literal half-blood prince.
Err, nope, pretty sure Dr Seuss came first. Seuss has been around since at least early 50s whereas Doctor Who first aired in 63. I don't object to you using the term 'Whovian' though, just had to set that straight.
#29 by your ridiculous reasoning Princes Harry and William are also "half-blood". Also, stuff like this is why you're still a virgin.
#45, she still isn't of royal blood. Why do you think she has the title Duchess, and not princess?
#135, Princess Diana was of royal blood, you know. Therefore not making William or Harry so called "half-bloods"
Before you go making assuming judgments about the character or virtue of someone you have not and never will meet, take a good long look in the mirror. You are not happy about yourself or your own life. Besides if you think being a virgin is an insult, you are more pathetic than I thought.
He's been around. That says nothing about when he was first published.
Side note: when attempting to insult someone, don't go after a person so high out of your intellectual league. You are only going to embarrass yourself.
Well gee, do you really think I just meant that he'd been alive since then or something? Sorry if I didn't make it clear but, I did mean that he'd been publishing children's books since then, as that's what we're talking about. He's literally 'been around' waaaay longer. In any case, as for some reason you keep pushing something you don't really know but still don't have the brain to look it up, I did. Horton Hears a Who was published in 1954 (but as I said, he published other children's books before then, I'm just not sure if they mentioned Whoville or not).
Obviously they meant "been around" as in was published since then. Dr Seuss was born in 1904 so they obviously weren't talking about the year he was born.
129 your failure to understand is phenomenal. my guess is you only like dr who thanks to David Tennant and Matt Smith like most of the supposed new fans. the princw will not be half blood becaue being royal is not a race it is a lineage. that is exactly like me calling myself a half blood Robertson because my fathers lineage is all robertson. you get it now huh? no kate does not have royal blood but she is now considered a royal because she is a Windsor.
#147 it's called a joke. Try developing a sense of humour it might help with the whole virginity thing... ;)
Oh piss off 186. Don't even TRY the 'it was a joke' card. That kind of thing isn't a joke, it's just a poor attempt at a cruel insult. Saying it was a joke and using smilies in an attempt to seem more casual and less vicious doesn't change that, we can all see straight through it. And if you somehow really DO think that's a joke then you have a very poor sense of humour indeed.
187 - you make me feel sad. Of course it was a joke. Jesus Christ. How depressing that the only acceptable humour on here is shitty puns.

It's happening to me too and I'm in America.
I know! I plan to boycott all major forms of news for the next week because I don't want to hear about it. Though they'll probably be talking about the royal baby for the rest of our lives.
