Today, I decide to go to my ex-girlfriend's house to bring her stuff back. I broke up with her earlier this week after a 2 year relationship, and I'd hoped she would have realized her mistake and ask me to stay for a bit and talk. I ring the doorbell and her new boyfriend opens the door. FML

Today, I finished hauling all of my possessions from another state, because I was supposed to move in with my girlfriend. I was just waiting to find a job. Almost as soon as my stuff was delivered, she broke up with me and told me to figure out getting it all back by myself. FML

#8 is right, you all have no idea why he broke up with her, she could have been cheating on him, or doing drugs, etc. Also, this might just be unfortunately phrased. Sometimes people say, "I broke up with my boyfriend/girlfriend..." meaning just that they are broken up, not necessarily that they were the ones who ended the relationship. Also, I love how there were no comments on this till like 2 months after it was published.

Depends. Who ended the relationship? If she did, FYL. If you did, then YDI. If you wanted to talk things through with her, you could have done it before freaking out and breaking up with her, no matter what reason that may have been.

Dude, I agree with #8, but for real I actually have the same problem right now.......... My last gf broke up with me and 2 weeks later I went to talk to her about it, I also met her new bf, she also told me to talk to her sister, who then proceeded to tell me that my gf had been dating this guy since the middle of July when she broke up with me in August-she said it was my fault that i didnt get the hint...............................
