Today, I decided to take a nap before a big job interview at 6. I set two alarm clocks to make sure I didn't miss it, but I woke up at 5:59. As I'm scrambling in a panic to get out the door, my mom says calmly, "I took your alarm clocks out of your room because you looked really tired today." FML

Awe, how nice of her. You don't need a job anyway.

my moms the opposite, when i have to be up at 7, she wakes me up at 4 D: and with wake up, i mean door bashing and screaming.

God I'd be so pissed.... I'm glad I use my phone as my alarm clock... My grandmother, who I live with, doesn't even know how to work that shit and I doubt my mom would know how to turn of the alarm, either. But then again, I did turn it off during the night a while ago. So it's not entirely fool-proof, either.

This sounds like something my mum would do. I used to set alarms for early in the morning to help myself go to bed early and be in a good routine, and I'm pretty sure my mum used to switch them off or set them for a later time if she thought I had gone to bed too late and would be tired in the morning. A lot of parents are really overly concerned about their child getting enough sleep, to the point where it overshadows everything else.

... Your mom is really unhelpful. And rude, assuming that her judgements are greater than your agenda. Kick her to the ego curb.

mothers were once kids too, they know that alarms are a pain!

Who needs a job anyways? I'd be so mad. It's highly unlikely that they did, but I hope you told them what happened and got another interview.

Maybe OP's mom didn't know until she was scrambling out of the door?

Well she cant blame anyone but herself if you can't get a job and have to live with her for a while...
