I think I'd be a little more concerned that the college doesn't produce students smart enough to figure out how to keep rats out of their own dorms. 155 years ago someone built a mouse trap, they put it on display in a museum and it still caught a mouse.
That's college in a nutshell
Yea, sounds about right
Enjoy your liberal arts degree, or research something different. 2 year college, 25 grand, and I get a Degree and 50-70k a year, probably double if I take all the overtime I can get.
Nowhere. He's just being a condescending jackass.
Yes I was being a jackass, it's a skill, really. Also! 50-70K a year isn't something a newbie gets paid for IT, it's what you get paid for being a High Voltage Lineman, a job where there is far more work than men able to do it. The time and a half and double time pay come in pretty quick, especially when you're traveling hundreds of miles in order to repair some storm damage. The way I see it, an Associate's Degree is nothing I'm ashamed of, for someone like me it's the easiest and most logical choice. I'm a simple man who wants a simple life and I'm not even sure what I'll do with 70k a year. And the liberal arts comment was a jab at someone overpaying for a Degree that most likely won't get them a job even when they're trying so hard to make it through college. Currently I'm making more money than I can handle, barely 20 and interning with awesome people at an awesome job, with, really, just one year spent in an actual college setting. Which is still time spent on earning a Class A CDL, and making enough money to pay off all my college debt before I've even begun my nearly guaranteed job.
As a student in Iowa I wish to know what university you attend so I can never go there
Yes **** the college. But a luxury car. And drive uber..
Not really for you, but for others that want a degree, but already work. western governors university.
I pay $55k per semester let alone per year.
That's what happens when you go to a crappy big ten school like Iowa. If you're doing undergrad at the moment, I suggest you go to an ACC or SEC school for your Master's. U of Iowa is overrated, to be honest. If I could suggest a better college, I suggest Michigan.

Soooooo... **** college, buy a car? That's what you're saying, right?
I think what he is saying is that he feels that he is overpaying...
