Today, I mentioned to my mum that one of my friends is pregnant. She decided I was lying, that I'm the one who's actually pregnant, and that I'm going to get checked out by a doctor. FML

Today, my sister-in-law had the nerve to hijack my baby shower to announce her pregnancy. It's all the more infuriating because we later found out that she's NOT pregnant, just a fucking attention whore. FML

Today, I discovered that my supposed 'friend' was spreading rumours about me and my other friends. We confronted her, but then she started crying and playing the victim so everyone would feel sorry for her, then spread more rumours. My friends and I have done nothing to her. FML

Today, my attention-seeking sister-in-law came to my 20 week ultrasound and afterward, without my knowledge, took it upon herself to announce the gender to Facebook and call the entire family, telling them "we're having a boy" nullifying any need for the announcement I had spent 4 weeks planning. FML

Today, my best friend promised me that she'd be there after a rough night the night before. Hours later, I did some digging and found out that she went ahead and called another group of friends behind my back, and then told me to stop being a baby when I figured it out. FML

Today, I found out my coworker faked having COVID so she could go on vacation. I guess she forgot that we follow each other on Instagram. I saw all her pictures of her drinking and at the beach enjoying herself. I’ve been doing the bulk of her work and staying overtime. FML

Not necessarily, there's the whole "hysterical pregnancy" thing, and if the so called friend has convinced everyone she's attention seeking, who knows what lengths a person would go to 'prove' themself. Basically, OP better hope her coworkers trust her not to be a psychotic manipulator.

I knew a girl who photoshopped an ultrasound picture and brought it into school to show everyone (and her boyfriend) her "twins." She was trying to trap him but apparently couldn't get pregnant in time to make the lie real. So it's possible to fake it, for a while at least.

OP congratulations on your baby! Sometimes other women are mean about it though because of some trauma they had or the fact they can't have a baby. Especially if the one expecting is a friend or family who is rightfully happy and always talking about it to them.

It is highly unlikely (though not impossible) that I'll ever be able to conceive, as well. Doesn't mean I'm bitter. I actually am the person who looks after everyone else's kids when they need a break. Why be jealous?
