Today, I discovered that my name literally means "burden". This wouldn't be so bad if both my mother and father knew this when they named me. FML

That's not even that bad compared to mine. My name litteraly means " Woman who entertains" and my parents knew what it ment when they named me.

Dude, they probably liked the name and then found out what it meant. They didn't choose the name BECAUSE it meant burden. Or, well, I hope they didn't.

If OPs name is 'Amos' it actually means 'the bearer of burdens' so technically, it's a pretty noble name. That is still assuming that is OP's name. :-)

I thought his name would be Anon, noting that's his username. But there's nothing to find about the name Anon, so it's probably just an abbreviation of Anonymous -.- Amos Lee rocks!

# 25 - is your name Samantha? because your name is Samsam.... and if it is Samantha actually means listener of god and Sam means sunshine.

YDI for even being named anything at all. YDI for having parents. YDI for wording your FML poorly; "this wouldn't be so bad if both my mother and father knew this when they named me" entails that they did NOT know it, and you think it would be better had they deliberately named you thusly. How would that have been better?! One of my friend's sisters named her son "Dejeuner" b/c she thought it sounded neat. Poor little bastard. Are your parents ignorant and vapid like her? Or did they do it on purpose? We'll never know because of your CRAPPY PHRASING!!!
