Today, I dislocated my shoulder. I was screaming and writhing in pain, and my eyes were shut for most of the ride to the hospital. We stopped, and I was thrilled because I thought we were at the ER. I was wrong. My dad had stopped to order a cheeseburger. FML

Why you whining their are people in much more worse pain...

Just because someone else is in a worse situation than you it doesn't mean you can't complain about your own situation.

Argh I hate it when people say that. It's like saying "why are you smiling when there are other people so much happier than you?"

I would like to see you dislocate a shoulder and not wine about it.

If you were an Australian Rugby player you'd just knock it back in position

Its not that bad, i did it last year at football practice and we popped it back in place and gave me a couple advil. I cant throw like i use to, or do some stuff with that arm cause it still hurts. Oh well, but hey we were in the playoffs, and i couldn't miss the game. We won the next game.

It was a dislocated shoulder.... It's not life threatening

Definitely not a fun injury OP. But screaming in pain? I had a 13-year-old break his collarbone (we had to assume a dislocation, but treatment is the same so it really didn't matter) and he kept his composure. I'll assume that was an embellishment, to render the FML more interesting.

From what I know a broken collarbone hurts but is bearable if you don't move too much. Dislocation hurts like hell until its back in place. Can't compare the two.

My mom dislocated her shoulder a few years ago and she said it was one of her most painful experiences, besides from giving birth.

Reminds me of Peter Griffin when he's stopped at a drive-thru while taking his Sister-in-law to the hospital, while she's in labor.

Only excusable if he stopped at In n out

I don't know if any of you have ever had a dislocated shoulder before but they say it's worse than labor, and it's like one of the most painful things to do. And did this remind anyone of family guy when his sister in law was having a baby?:)

I never been in labour so can't compare. But a dislocated shoulder isn't that painful, I've had female pains that hurt more.. Mind you, my shoulder does makes funny noises now.
