Certainly a bummer, but not really an FML, because of the sweet gestures made by all involved. I actually smiled when I read this. ...And I believe I'm getting a bullet in the eye from #56. Oh noes!
Sucks that you couldn't get together but you should feel pretty awesome that they care enough to do the same for you.
well, that totally sucks, lol
I agree that this is not a full blown F your life, but it still does suck. I hate when others call out an OP if "they" don't feel that what was submitted is an FML. Besides, it is kind of nice to see something that is somewhat heartwarming. My life is certainly not as f'ed up as others, but that doesn't mean I don't have moments where it sucks to be me.......all of us have those moments.. Plus, with the economy the way it is, the OP and their parents pretty much just wasted what was probably a decent amount of money.
hmm, I guess it's really only an fml in the sense that you spent 9hrs driving and they weren't there- but at least they cared enough to try and go see you
The irony of two parties trying to do something nice for one another. That does suck. At least, you know your parents care about you, though.
I'm gad that your parents love you. Most people that post here have horrible parents. That's just terrible luck, not really a FML. :p
