This is disturbing.
Maybe it's just me, but if I was having my child at another location to be watched I would want a walk through of the house first. If there was something in the house I didn't want my child exposed to if either request the room be closed off, have the child watched at my home or find a different sitter. As many have said before, she probably just knows it was a swing that was indoors and fun, but I can see how op would be uncomfortable with the child using it. It should have been common sense to keep the child away from it since many parents would be uncomfortable, but a quick walk through of the location could have solved the problem before it started.
Yeah, if you want a walkthrough of my whole house just so I can look after your kid, you can find another babysitter... The living room I can understand, but you have no business seeing the rest of my house. Then again, neither does the kid.
I would want a walk through of the areas that the child is going to be allowed. Not a stop and snoop session. And yes, of it was refused, I would find another sitter. Both parties have a reasonable right to refuse.
fake and gay
I hope you got a new sitter!
Let me get this straight she put your child on a sex swing? Oklahoma Child Protective Services (405) 521-2283. I'd see to it she's not allowed to babysit any children.
Such an overreaction, a sex swing is just a normal swing when no one is having sex on it. If it even was a sex swing, which we don't know. There's no reason anything bad should happen to the babysitter as a result of this.
what kind of fool leaves their kid with someone they don't know well ?? some people shouldn't be allowed to have kids..
You're obviously not a parent.
I don't see what's so bad about it. As far as the kid is concerned it's just a swing. At the age of five they're not going to know anything about sex (hopefully). If the babysitter was letting her play with ****** or other sex toys that's another matter, but a five year old isn't going to look at a sex swing and go "ah ha, I know exactly what adults use this for". A five year old is just going to think "yay! swing! It's like going to the park but inside!" Basically if your babysitter was being responsible and treating your kid well, I don't see what the problem is. The kid probably had a blast playing on the "weird swing."
So what if it was a sex swing? You know where else people have sex? EVERYWHERE!!! Sofa, loveseat, dining room furniture, kitchen, the floor, etc. Maybe you should find a nun to babysit.
I would definitely be going to the babysitter's house BEFORE I left my kid there just to be sure it's safe. I don't think I'd worry about a sex swing as long as my kid wasn't put on it.

I guess she can't use you as a reference.
What people are into is their business and shouldn't disqualify them from any job UNTIL they involve your kid. Fire her and tell everyone you know.
