Today, I enjoyed a romantic evening at home with my husband while a babysitter took care of my 5-year-old daughter. After she came home, she told me the sitter let her use her "weird swing." I wasn't too worried, until she said it was indoors, and I realized she was describing a sex swing. FML

I guess she can't use you as a reference.

What people are into is their business and shouldn't disqualify them from any job UNTIL they involve your kid. Fire her and tell everyone you know.

Is it possible that it might have been a yoga swing? Those are indoors too and probably less likely to be put away when company arrives. It's too weird that somebody would let a child play on a sex swing. Maybe I'm just too hopeful, but I'd like to believe that no babysitter is gross enough to let a child play on a sexual aid. EDIT: oops, 19 beat me to it. Sorry, guys!

It could also have been that the babysitter had it in her room, behind a closed door, and thought it wouldn't be seen. But kids get into everything and the sitter maybe didn't know what to say when the girl asked what that was. Reaching, but I'm hoping for the best here.

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.

Show it anyway

I believe the sitter took the child to her own house, while OP was at home. The sitter takes the child home, only for the child to innocently tell OP about the swing.

You just perfectly described the FML. What are you confused about?

hunteryager 18

I was saying it was confusing since she was at home for the dinner, and then came HOME again suddenly.

What the hell is so confusing? They dropped her off at the babysitters house, and after the parents ate, they picked her up.

Yeah sorry the previous reply cleared it up. I haven't been sleeping so well recently so I tend to miss some of the obvious.

Did she also let her play with her one-eyed rubber dollies?

Did they all happen to be really excited?

as long as your daughter didn't know and as long as the swing gets cleaned sometimes?

...Said the 17 year old. LOL so hard at your comment.

klovemachine 24

Sometimes? That swing needs to cleaned all the time, and sterilized :O

...are you seriously assuming that it was a sex swing based solely on the fact that it was indoors? There are yoga swings, there are hammock chairs, there are other types of hanging chairs, there are porch swings in enclosed porches/three season rooms, there are any number of different things that are far more likely to be left out in the open and that a sitter you would have trusted in the first place might have felt comfortable letting a child use.

Are you positive that your daughter was describing a sex swing? I would talk to the baby sitter about this possible issue first before jumping the gun that its a sex swing. I hope there is a follow up to this fml.

I was thinking the same thing. There is an indoor swing for young children that is supported by a tension bar in doorways. I thought it was usually for babies/ toddlers though.

Just hope that she forgets before she's old enough to learn what it is.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this is a big deal? I'm sure the swing gets cleaned after evey use, because those things are ******* expensive. As long as it's clean I don't see an issue. as far as the child is concerned, she had a fun a fun time on a weird swing. End of story. I'd just tell the sitter to put it away next time and tell the kid it broke or she lent it to somebody until the kid forgets about it.

It wouldn't be so bad if the girl just saw it. But the sitter should have had the common sense to make her get off.

Why? Like I said, if it's clean there is absolutely no reason a child (or adult) shouldn't be able to use it as a swing also. It's not like she was teaching the kid to have sex on the swing, or making her swing naked or something illegal like that. she was simply letting a child use a sex swing as a swing. No harm done really.

I can't even begin to fathom what floats through your head.Whether it is clean or not it's disgusting to let a child play on a sex swing.I definitely wouldn't want my kids on one even if they didn't know what it was.

I agree. As long as its clean, it's no big deal. Making a big deal about how she has to get off because its an "adult swing" is a lot worse. She just thought she was on a swing - big freakin' deal. I honestly don't know why everyone is freaking out so much. Would you freak out if the babysitter let her play on her bed? She has sex there too and the sheets probably are dirtier than the swing.

Thank you 67. Also, chances are if you have a sex swing, you won't just keep sex to the swing and bed. Couch, Kitchen, Bathtub! Oh lord, don't let the children have a bath in a tub used for sexy time! They just might catch an std or get pregnant. What about people that have sex in public places? Next time you take your kids to the park or beach better keep em away from the slides and sand.. Don't let them sit on bus seats or your lap either because we all what happens there! Animals have sex all over the place, why not keep them in a bubble just to make sure. People need to relax, they really just need to chill because as long as you clean up after, sex isn't dirty nor is it a big deal.

#50, I agree with 47, What's wrong with letting a child or even adult use a sex swing as a normal swing, provided that it has been sterilized. Just because it has previously been used as a sex swing doesn't automaticaly make it disgusting.

Agreed, I mean I wouldn't encourage the child to play on the swing but if it was clean and sterilised, and the child insisted on sitting on it, there isn't that much of a problem? As other commenters said, the babysitter probably also has sex in her bed, on the sofa, on the floor... a sex swing is actually something that you can fully clean so is probably much safer and less gross. If she's a professional babysitter and is looking after kids most of the time, it would probably be sensible to take the swing down some of the time, but they're attached pretty strongly to the doorframe (naturally because they need to safely support a person's weight) and if this was a last-minute decision to leave the kid with this person, there may not have been time to dismantle it.

Oh lord! Time for a new sitter that's just gross

It could be a yoga swing. Don't jump to conclusions.

It could have been any number of things
