Today, I explained to my 5 year old daughter that her older sister from my husband's first marriage lives with her mommy, and my daughter lives with us. She exclaimed, "It's not fair! I want two mommies like she has! Can we swap, I like her mommy better than you anyway!" FML

The two girls are half-sisters (they have the same father but each one has her own mother)

Sounds like a great deal to me. You don't have to pay for college, don't have to kick them out of your house, no christmas gifts, no birth gifts, no crying, no whinning, what other deal is better than this?

I like how everyones quick to type that the child is immature. The kid maybe 5 but that doesn't mean she was just being an immature kid. What if op is like mommy dearest or some shit? Or maybe op is a horrible mother, ya never know.

No. While that is a remote possibility, it is a power play that either the ex put the child up to or that the girl herself is pulling in order to get more lax rules. Five is around the age when kids, especially little girls, use any little situation to their advantage to come off looking like "little angels force to go through their formative years with overstrict parents.

you gotta keep ur bitch on a tight leash. just kidding. u should look to be more interactive with her maybe.

Kids, they will learn to appreciate as they grow older.
