Today, I finally bought the toy my two year-old son always wanted. He would always tap on the TV when the commercial for it would appear. I gave him the gift, and he started playing with the bag it came in. FML

Sounds like you have completely misread your son's signals. When he was tapping on the TV, he was tapping in time to the music. What he was trying to say was: "Dad! I want me a drumset for my birthday. Dad? Dad? Are you listening to me, or are you going to stare at that dumb-ass toy for the whole ad-break?"

Wow if this is an FML you're screwed big time when he hits his teens.

He's a toddler, he doesn't know what he wants. Bags a lots of fun/ don't actually let him play with it

Everyone, who said it was a PLASTIC bag? Who gives presents in plastic bags? It was probably one of those paper ones that you give gifts in, or maybe the toy came in one of those cloth bags.

If your kid liking the packaging a toy came in more than the toy (LIKE EVERY OTHER CHILD DOES AT LEAST ONCE, IF NOT MANY MANY TIMES) is the worst thing that happened to you this week, seriously, shut the hell up. Is FML going to turn into "Today, I spilled coffee on my shirt. FML"? This is pathetic.

I always played with the box when I was little. ;)

Grow up. Of course he played with the bag......havent you figured this out in the two years you've been a parent? This isnt FML.

He's 2. Can't he talk a little? Why does he have to communicate what he wants by tapping on the TV like a caveman?

Hahaha, all kids play with the bag after they get stuff.
