I'm aware this is a really, really late comment but I felt the need to add my two cents to this debate. I used to wash my hair every single day because I thought that was normal, then my hair started getting greasy half way through the day. One day while i was getting my hair cut by a professional who also teaches at a hair dressers institute he told me washing your hair every day is terrible for it...so I washed it every other day and would just tie it up if it looked a little greasy. Now my hair is far, far less greasy and grows much faster. In half a year my hair grew from breast length to hip length...my scalp is way healthier now, and yes I still shower every day, it's called a SHOWER CAP
