aww, you inspire good habits. *pats you on the head, then washes hands*
I think the real problem here isn't that the mother has "yucky greasy" hair, it's that her 5 year old daughter is washing her hair everyday! Has anyone thought about how their hair was when they were that age? Maybe its just me but when I was younger, I would have a bath once, maybe twice a week. And I don't remember having greasy hair. The only time I started getting greasy hair was in grade 9, which was also the same time I started washing it everyday. Hmm. The reason why you have to wash your hair everyday because it gets greasy is BECAUSE you wash it everyday. I know you all think I'm crazy/stupid or whatever but just hear me out. Since you wash your hair everyday, it dries out your hair BUT your hair gets used to being washed everyday so when you skip a day, it gets oily. If you wash if every other day for a month, your hair won't get so oily so quickly. Understand? Good, and if you still don't agree with me, go ahead. I know I'm right and that you're wrong so, suck it :)
Well at least you don't have to worry about your daughter not wanting to take baths later in life
Guys.. You're only supposed to wash your hair every other day or every two days, the chemicals are bad for your hair and I think your scalp as well if you wash it every single day
Maybe wash more
My hair doesn't get greasy until day 3 or 4. I once lived with someone who thought it was disgusting to not wash hair daily, so I put in the extra effort and was rewarded with a ridiculous amount of split ends and overall brittle hair. Needless to say, I no longer shampoo daily. Hair is still scented on day 2, fyi.
How are you all so sure that OP doesn't wash her hair every day? Washing your hair too often can make it greasier than washing less frequently, or maybe it wasn't even grease. Maybe her hair was shiny from conditioner and the 5 year old mistook it for grease. She is 5 after all. Or maybe she saw her mum with greasy hair one time and only one time but decided she didn't want it for herself. Will you people please learn to think before you comment something mean?
Some people just have more oil in their hair than others. Also, for longer hair, or dry hair, it's better to wash it every other day. You still wash your body every day, just alternate which day you wash your hair.

I thought washing your hair every day was a normal thing.
well at least you are teaching her about hygiene
