its something that always comes to mind first especially since it's a family business & the family member gets the higher chair, don't take it to heart ignore em
All jokes come from their insecurities.
Tell them to go work for their fathers then.
If you earned it good job! My best friends climbing the ranks at his fathers company. You have a hard work ethic like your father youre not being handed anything. Like I tell him, you have to work harder than everyone and be the best if youre related to a higher up. Keep climbing op!
Problem is would your friend have the job in the first place if he wasn't the boss's kid?
Problem is, if he is good at his job, and doesn't throw his genetics around, what does it matter?
I don't know how your company does things, but every job I've ever held would fire me on the spot if I worked off the clock. Sounds like you should have lost your job long ago.
Salaried employees versus hourly. Nuff said.
You're dad is the CFO for the company you work at!?!?! You realize what that means right? Your paycheck is just a glorified allowance! Ha! That's classic!!
And ... when he takes the chair as an executive, and business keeps on rolling along along, then what is it? What about when his dad retires, or when he runs the hole company? Blood and skill are not inversely correlated at all.
Let them believe what they want to...doesn't mean it's true
Same thing happened and still is to my brother, they're just too stupid and jealous to admit that you are a better worker than them so they have to make an excuse.
