Inod tells us more.
I'm the OP, decided to make an account... Reason I put on so much weight is cause I had a car run up my leg by a 16 year old bitch who was too busy chatting on her phone to even notice she hit me. So after my broken foot, ankle, and leg "healed", I got to go through the process of starting rehab on all the torn stuff in my ankle. 18 months later, I can walk again with only a slight limp. Yay! Believe me, I'd love to be able to go out for a walk or hit the gym but some days (rainy days especally) going from bed to the bathroom is a chore and any kind of incline or decline hurts still. And I didn't know I was over 330 when I got to the store (got a scale too, 334... what a bitch, huh?) so that was a huge shock. Obviously I know I was overweight, but not this bad. Thanks to like the 10 people with kind words... the rest of you enjoy your summer, high school starts back up in about 8 weeks.

ummmm...why don't you start an ACTUAL excersize routine, rather than using a video game system that you would lose about 5 pounds on?
I would use the pad anyway if I were you. I think DDR might be a better way to go though, since those pads don't have weight limits. It's also a very good workout if you push yourself. People have lost a great deal of weight playing DDR hardcore. A lot of people pointed out, albeit derisively, that you should start a normal exercise plan. I understand where you're coming from, since most people (gasp) don't find exercise fun and would rather do something they enjoy. Someone said something about spending $90 on a video game... that is, I must point out, much cheaper than spending $200+ on a gym membership that most people never use. That being said, you should spend a lot of time working up a sweat - at least a half hour per day three or four days a week - in order to actually lose any weight even with wii fit or DDR. Another good suggestion is to take up martial arts. You have constant supervision so the instructor is omnipresent to motivate you. It is nearly impossible not to work hard because the instructor is there to make sure you are pushing yourself. Just make sure you go to a martial arts school that emphasizes exercise. I was at my lightest and most fit when I was spending all my time at the dojo... partially because the instructor was always coaching me and partly because I loved doing it so much that I wanted to train and practice every day for hours at a time.
this is the funniest shit ive read in a looonnnnggg time....go outside instead.
umm yea sorry but if ur that damn fat: go to a gym maybe,, not more vidoe games..again sorry but ur a dumbass.
I've lost about 20 pounds with Wii Fit so far; however, I didn't start at over the THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY POUND weight limit that Nintendo of America raised from Japan's three hundred pound limit, so I could, you know, get on the board and lose some weight. You know, if you weigh that much, maybe a video game isn't what's going to work for you. Maybe you need some serious help with it from a real doctor, not a happy little balance board that wears a hat on your birthday.
I've gone from 275 to 248 in the past two months of using Wii Fit. All these people saying that you shouldn't use a game to lose weight are idiots. It's fun and it's exercise--what is the harm? Stupid. It also helps a lot of just 'making you aware' of your body--you see that you're 275 every day and you want to change it and you get excited when you see it go down so you work harder. There's seriously NOTHING wrong with any of this. You judgmental people just want the OP to stay overweight because you like looking better in comparison. Shame on you all.
Well, get down in weight I guess. 150 is more than enough of a limit I thought, but obviously not for some people.
Yeah...I would be very unhealthily skinny for my height -- absurdly so, really -- if I weighed 150 pounds.

Wii Fit is not something made to help you lose weight, it's made to help you STAY in shape or tone up. If you weigh too much to use it you need a personal trainer not a video game. I'll take it if you aren't using it though. It's been raining here for weeks I could use an indoor tone up :D
oh damn! how ironic.
