Today, I finally got the courage to ask out the guy I've liked for a long time. He's a cashier at a grocery store. It was about 1am and I was his last customer, everything seemed just right. Just when I was about to ask him to the movies, a drunk girl stumbles in and asks him out. He said yes. FML

I was thinking the exact same thing. She only just asked him out. There's no reason she has to restrain herself too. Dating is about finding someone who matches you, and obviously you have to date around a bit unless you're lucky. They haven't made any commitment to be an 'item' yet.

She asked him out on a date! It's not like they're suddenly in a serious relationship now just because she asked him out on a date. There is nothing wrong with asking him out yourself. If they are actually in a relationship now, he'll inform you, but from the sounds of it, I bet it didn't last longer than a single date.

It's annoying hearing people bash the guy and say shit about how he is creepy or a scumbag. I mean it sucks for her that she waited so long and then the guy ended up hooking up with another girl but what can you expect? People are people and without communication a guy can't know a girl likes him. This is not the guy's fault. Girl's mistake. Also to #24: I just assumed they were dating. If they aren't well w/e but the original situation is still a YDI from me. YDI

Go you for being proactive in India! I don't know how it is actually IS in India, but I will say that as a Syrian girl, actually asking a guy out is incredibly >_< Totally fyl. I'm sorry, that's actually really disappoing. T_T
