Today, I finally got the courage to ask out the guy I've liked for a long time. He's a cashier at a grocery store. It was about 1am and I was his last customer, everything seemed just right. Just when I was about to ask him to the movies, a drunk girl stumbles in and asks him out. He said yes. FML

I'm sorry, but I'm kind of dubious about a guy who says yes to a drunk girl at 1am... He seems kind of creepy.

Someone's getting lucky... and it isn't the OP.

What it sounds like to me is the OP was standing right there, just about to ask. Then some drunk girl just runs in and asks. Highly unlikely.

YDI for setting your sights on a swing shift cashier. Think bigger dear.

then he is obviously not good enough for you.

It's OK. He didn't have good taste anyways. :)

Anyone think that the guy might not have really meant it? The easiest way of getting rid of an annoying drunk is to just agree with everything they say.

I'm also curious as to how random the drunk girl was. By which I mean, maybe he knows her from somewhere, so it wasn't entirely out of the blue.

So? Ask him out after. Maybe he'll decide he likes you better.

YDI for not having standards. Who hangs around grocery stores at 1 am?

...I feel that I should point out: If the girl was srunk, the guy might only have said yes to placate her. If she was *really* drunk, she wouldn't remember it. I have no experience in being drunk, so I can't say that for sure, of course. But the guy might have been afraid that she would react violently/negatively to a refusal- Perhaps he's had experience in random drunk girls asking him out before. =P
