She needs to grow up...you are fine...a crush is a word that can still work through out the years...

I recently went through the same thing. Never fear, you held up your end and told her your feelings. Since she chose not to respect them, and in fake fun of your fondness of her, she doesn't deserve your attention. Don't sweat it.

I salute your courage, OP. A lot of people don't have the courage to ever express their feelings. At least you know now what kind of a person she is. Even if she didn't like your word choice, it was incredibly mean to make fun of you like that =/. Here's a tip: instead of looking at how a girl treats her friends and teachers, look at how she treats those she is NOT friends with....that'll give you insight into her true character. Some people seem so awesome when you only see them interacting with their friends or superiors (or whoever is in charge).
