You should use serious words to show your sincerity
I feel bad for you OP, but crush is is generally considered infatuation with out really knowing the person at all. We all have a a "crush" or whatever, generally one doesn't act on it because the feelings are strictly superficial. I had a girl "crushing" on me throughout college and it is uncomfortable when someone who barely knows you( usually is the case) won't leave well enough alone. That being said good for you for having the balls to tell her how you felt. Unfortunate phrasing, but I can appreciate the sentiment.
Next time try " I like you and I would like to take you out on a date". Maybe not with this girl though, unless you want to give her another chance. (because "I have a crush on you" does sound a little immature. And to me it's more vague - like it's just a crush and you're fine either way). Depends on if she was just amused by the expression or an asshole about it.
and the crush is over..
Oh please, it's not going to traumatise the poor little girl if he just straight up says it.
props on having the courage to tell her..but sorry she reacted like she's the 12 year old
That is so nightmarish. Sorry, dude!
On a scale of one to ten, you are.
play off it say "depends would you Like to go out to dinner with a twelve year old?"

Ouch! Sorry OP. Now you know how immature she is.
