Today, I finally made the last payment on the beautiful engagement ring I bought and proposed with - two years ago. To my ex-girlfriend, who said no and promptly started sleeping with one of my friends. FML

Just be glad she said no, this way, you won't find out about her later in a more hurtful way. This experience might even make you a better person; ie looking for better qualities.

That is unfortunate but, you deserve it for buying a ring you had to take two years to pay off! I wouldn't have married my husband if he was that stupid with money either.

My engagement ring was $60. I love it dearly! It's the feeling behind the moment of proposal that makes it priceless. You don't need a ring that will take 2 years to pay off to know that you're loved.
