First of all... to all those people who were confused - I don't understand how though, it's not that difficult to understand - what happened was when they first 'met' the man claimed to be say... 30 years old. Then when they met a year later the woman finds out that the man lied about his age and he is actually 50 years old. (Ages are examples and such). Secondly I've had good and bad experiences online with people - and know other people with varying stories. My friend talked to a girl for a few years who had set up fake myspace accounts and everything, she used someone elses photo and even lied about her name and such. I dated a guy online for a while. (We met on a game) we were friends for a few years before we thought we'd give a relationship a try. (We acted more like friends even together so we broke up.) He was pretty cool and wasn't lying about what who he claimed to be. (I've talked to him on webcam, ventrillo and I have him on facebook.) Not everyone lies. Also I had this friend who became completely obsessed with this girl. He claimed to be in love with her and pretty much harrassed her with 'love' online. He was incredibly depressed because she didn't like him back. (Oh god that was such a bitch to try help with.) With meeting people online it varies, just like meeting people in person. You chat to someone at a bar, they seem pretty cool, you may end up sleeping with them and getting into a relationship with them, then you find out they're married with two kids. Lifes about chances. ***** going to happen but you can also meet some pretty amazing people. :)
