sooooo i came back just to read some more comments on the subject, and like others i have nothing better to do while the laundry's going...heh. I love how no matter the point in the subject, if it involves some homosexuality, or gay anything... sure enough! you will find a lonely abundance of comments relating the matter to "god". i was raised catholic, ..so of course i can sit and understand both religious and non religious views on the matter. regardless of me being a lesbian. shes not asking for religious views or, someone to pray for her folks...shes posting a "fml". an opinion is one thing, preaching, and bragging about god, or her being some sort of abomination is just ridiculous. Buuuuuut since we are on the matter. can i just add.... the most entertaining thing to me, is when i go to "gay pride" and i see the lonnnng line of hate gay protesters and god this and god that. ...i just have a question..see after all of the yelling, tears, protesting, and ranting...i go home to my girlfriend, and make dinner, watch tv, feed the dogs, and live my normal life..what do the protesters do? do you guys get back in your vehicles saying "yeah that'll teach em? haha or. what? Are there not bigger things to worry about like...oo i don't know...how are we going to pay rent this month? or gosh.... i don't have enough gas to make it to church on Sunday? hahah sorry im ranting....oooo
First of all, I'm atheist, but I don't think it matters what religion I am. Whether I'm Atheist or Christian, the bottom line is that discrimination against homosexuals is simply discriminating against people who are different. Automatically accusing a Christian of being intolerant just because the person is Christian is only another example of discrimination against a group of people different from yourself. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! PEACE AND LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
omg, i've been trying to tell my mum i'm bi for 2 years. that's her exact reaction, now she just cracks jokes about my attraction to woman while simultaneously telling me i'm crazy.
aww, that seriously sucks. i totally get what you mean. the same thing happened to me too.
for all of you bitches botherin this girl about her sexuality **** OFF , life is like that you have to except people the way they are, im sorry you're mom doesnt unerstand you, but you should know, there is nothing to be embarassed about, lesbian, gay, straight, bi, YOU ARE STILL A PERSON, 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1 mouth, 2 arms, 2 legs, you are a person, people have to except you, don't you for one second take all the bullshit people are writing to you!
frankly I think it's ridiculous that people have voted 'you totally deserved it'. Looks like the comments have turned out to be another atheist v theist forum, it often happens when people talk about sexuality. I am an atheist, I do not hate religious people. . . gasp. What I find odd is that people actually used to be very open minded about sexuality and only recently (in terms of the history of mankind) have people started to think that it's unnatural and wrong simply because it doesn't result in pregnancy. Even if it wasn't natural, things don't have to be natural to be 'right' or 'good'. Being gay actually makes a lot of sense when it comes to sex, a girl tends to know what a girl wants better than a guy does and vice versa. As for a solution I say you should tell her you're straight every april fool's day. If she has a computer or a laptop you should go on a bunch of lesbian **** sites and leave them for her to find. Say 'I'm gay' before and after everything else you say. If nothing else, you can definitely stop the denial. Best of luck
I genuinely feel bad for you. Most of my empathy stems from the realization that if I told my parents that I was gay (hypothetically), I imagine they would have reacted in the exact same way that your mother did.
I never really thought it mattered. I mean, if god did, in fact, create us, and is so against homosexuality/bisexuality... then i'm sure he would make a bigger point of it? If you ask me, it was society that decided this was wrong, not god.

11, YES. After that comment, none others matter. OP, just use this as an excuse to take everything she tells you to do as a joke. Everything. Ask her forr cash, if she says no, take it and compliment her on her skills as a comedian.
I think you mistyped it so I fixed it. She took my face in her hands and said "These aren't the droids you're looking for"
