Today, I finally stood up to the guy who's been bullying me for the last 2 years. Even though he's been caught in the act several times, he never gets punished, so I figured I'd get away with gut-punching him. Nope. An hour later, I was suspended from school. FML

Today, I finally stood up for myself and beat the crap out of a bully at school, as my father told me to do. The kid and I were called to the principal's office, along with our parents. Inside my father's smirk faded when he saw that the kid's mom was his boss. FML

Today, I got my ass beat by some kid in my grade. The reason I was targeted? The superintendent, aka my idiot father, suspended him for defending himself in another fight. The kid told me it's not personal, he needed to prove a point that our school doesn't do shit about bullying, As much as I agree with him… FML

Today, I finally had it with the redneck bully who's been tormenting me. He was repeatedly poking and pinching me and laughing out loud during class, so I slung him to the ground, pinning him. I got suspended. They only called his parents, who never do anything; my "caring" parents are looking into teen boot camp. FML

This is why bullies exist in school, and the rest of life. Fight back against a bully in school, and you get punished. Maybe, if you're lucky, he will be too. In the rest of life, defend yourself against a serious attack, and often the law tries to defend the attacker. It's ridiculous. OP, do not even for a second feel bad over what you did. You did EXACTLY what had to be done. Bullies do not stop because they get a telling from a teacher, or a detention. Telling someone in authority does not help, whatsoever. YOU have to stand up for YOURSELF.
