Today, I found an injured rabbit by the side of the road. I was about to take it to the local vet, when my husband picked it up and casually snapped its neck. "No rabbit's worth my money" he said, forgetting that he's been a jobless moocher for over 3 years. Pass me the goddamn divorce papers. FML

No need for divorce papers. Just throw him into a sarlacc pit. World: improved.

The big difference is that he didn't do it out of mercy, but selfishness and with a clear lack of empathy. And if the vet couldn't take care of it they probably would've called a wildlife rehab place.

The way you describe him killing the rabbit sounds like a red flag for sociopathic behavior. Certainly, killing an animal you were trying to save, is very cruel.

There are wildlife rescuers that would have taken the rabbit and nursed it back to health if possible. Also, he sounds like a sociopath who prioritizes money. You now know how little weight he places on compassion and life itself. Get out while you can.

I hope you did actually kick that moocher out.

I would have literally bawled my eyes out, and beat him at the same time. what a dbag.

Wow. That sounds like he has some Psychopathic tendencies to say the least. Drop the animal killing moocher before he decides you cost too much as well.

Im not vegan. But this kind of stuff disgusts me. He didn't want to spend HIS money, HIS, not OPs, on a small animal, that afer being released into the wild, was going to be eaten anyway. OP is overreacting in every way, shape, or form, it was a small animal was going to be killed anyway, and, if people freak about this, what about the countless animals you eat all day? and again, im NOT vegan.
