Today, I found my son trying to comb his hair with scissors. He's the same kid who thought that if he ate toothpaste, he would never have to brush his teeth again. FML

Hello the OP here, in case you are wondering my son is 14, this what makes this bad. I had a talk with him about combing his hair with scissors, he said that since it had an edge he thought it would work just fine. He's not hurt in any way but if he was to hurt himself, I would have told him to figure it out. The eating toothpaste is a whole different story, I didn't know the purpose and he didn't know the purpose. I don't think he knew that toothpaste is poisonous if you ate it. Anybody want to adopt a kid?

What. Where is this kid's logic? Also, how old is he, because a 3 year old doing it is way different from a 13 year old.

How old is your son? And I hope he doesn't stab himself with the scissors... Or punch true his head or poke his eye... I don't think he should have the scissors, in fact.

Do you have any older children? They would have mislead your son to believes such things or do that kind of stuff

even if she has an older kid, her son is 14! at that age a kid should have SOME common sense.

#44 You would be surprised.... My senior year I was always amazed at how all the freshmen lacked common sense. It keeps getting worse and worse every year. I'm so glad I'm in college now. Still a lot of stupidity, but it's a way lower percentage than I, unfortunately, had to get used to.

Sorry, OP, but they can't all be winners.

My siblings and cousins tricked me into believing a lot of stupid things when I was 5. By 14, they were more apt to aid me in covering my teenage screw ups, and you really shouldn't be that stupid

and to think he has part of your genetics...

Sweet tapdancing Jesus in a hot tub. @_@;

I'm sorry, your son has no common sense at all. nothing can change that. good luck with that

That's okay. When my brother was 14 he wanted to make brownies when no one was home. Apparently we were out of oil so he used vinegar instead because he thought it was the same thing. Boys aren't always loaded down with common sense, that's why they break so many bones.

If he's not a little kid, does he some sort of special mental problem? That's the only other way to get a FYL

That's one interesting kid you've got there Op!

How old is your kid? At 3 or 4, there's plenty of thought processes that could be understandable. If he's hitting jr high or high school, I'm thinking he's going to have a tough time in life. Hello walmart

At least you're pointing out the stupidity when you catch him OP. We just had a kid shot, because his mom didn't think to say no when he walked out of the house brandishing a samurai sword. Apparently he wanted to apply at a Chinese fast food joint and thought it would impress them at 22. Wrong culture and who the hell does that.

Eh all kids think stupid shit like that when they're little. It's kinda like the whole "if I swallow a watermelon seed will a watermelon grow in my stomach?" thing.
