Dioxin01 tells us more.
Hey everyone, This happened while I was driving in the United States. Also if I hadn't helped him, there would be no chance of him being alive today.

From Wikipedia In Canada, a good Samaritan doctrine is a legal principle that prevents a rescuer who has voluntarily helped a victim in distress from being successfully sued for 'wrongdoing'. Its purpose is to keep people from being reluctant to help a stranger in need for fear of legal repercussions if they were to make some mistake in treatment. In Canada, good Samaritan acts are a provincial power. Each province has its own act, such as Ontario[18] and British Columbia's[19] respective good Samaritan acts; Alberta's Emergency Medical Aid Act;[20] and Nova Scotia's Volunteer Services Act[21] Only in Quebec, a civil law jurisdiction, does a person have a general duty to respond, as written in the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms.[22] In British Columbia, persons have a duty to respond only where a child is endangered.[citation needed] An example of a typical Canadian law is provided here, from Ontario's Good Samaritan Act, 2001, section 2: Protection from liability 2. (1) Despite the rules of common law, a person described in subsection (2) who voluntarily and without reasonable expectation of compensation or reward provides the services described in that subsection is not liable for damages that result from the person's negligence in acting or failing to act while providing the services, unless it is established that the damages were caused by the gross negligence of the person. 2001, c. 2, s. 2 (1).[23]
TL;DR
Yeah, but that's wikipedia, the site that brought democracy (including idiotic voters) to information. I'm sure some stuff on wikipedia, and at least some of what you posted is accurate, but you never know.
it's called good samaratian law unless it is found that you were careless extricating him when there wasn't any immediate danger to his life. I am an emt and we use a collar and ked then move them to a board when extricating a patient though I had one patient we had to extraciate quickly during extraction due to the engine smoking heavily despite using a fire extinguisher. if his life was in immediate danger u r protected by good samaratian law. sucks his back is damaged but he's breathing and living.
you try to do something nice for people and it bites u in butt. thats not cool at all.
that will teach you to help people! sounds like the sort of person that should have been left to die!
He won't win..
